I was there for this moment, when three of the “San Antonio 4” were released from prison after serving more than a decade locked up for allegedly molesting two girls. The women were freed after their lawyers and the district attorney agreed that recent scientific advances undermined medical testimony pivotal to their convictions in a case that was reminiscent of the alleged day care abuse cases of the late 1980s and early 1990s. I had gotten a call the week before from a source who advised me of their pending release.
